Traveling in the High Atlas trek lovers and hiking will venture naturally in the Jebel National Park, the highest mountain in North Africa (4167m). Browsing vast green forests of oak, cedar and juniper trees, you will meet in contrasting scenery of plateaus and cliffs overlooking the fertile valleys of Ourika, the N’Fiss or Sub.
Take a trip through the mule track that leads to Neltner refuge at 3200 meters altitude. It takes about 4 to 5 hours. This is where we can begin to climb Mount Toubkal. For those who wish to try the climb, we advise you to hire a mountain guide, and take a mule carrying. In winter be very careful because the snowy conditions can represent a real danger when one does not know the terrain. From the hut, take the path that climbs lace on the sides of this gigantic mountain. You will discover exceptional views on all the reliefs of the High Atlas. It takes about 3 hours to climb before arriving to the summit of Toubkal. We recommend that you make this hike over two days: Spend the night at the shelter and start the climb the next morning.
Since immane Valley, a beautiful trip of about 5 hours will take you to discover charming villages perched on hillsides. The valley offers a panoramic view of the peaks of the Toubkal and the surrounding mountains. Pass the Tacheddirt pass to the village of the same name. You can stay overnight at the house or opt for camp. Take home then for 6 hours of walking towards Imlil, the largest village of the massif. This is a remarkable starting point for many hikes, go here at least two days! From Imlil, do not miss the climb to the village of Aremd. This is where one reaches Tizi Mzik. Admire very different views of the surrounding mountains. Finally back down to the village of Tizi Oussem or you can spend the night (lodging or bivouac) Aremd Since it takes 5 to 6 hours of walking.
The best time to trek in the region extends from April to October, the climate is very pleasant and the milder operating conditions. During the day the temperature does not exceed 30 ° C in summer, count between 15 ° and 25 ° C in spring and autumn. The nights are very mild, between 15 ° C and 20 ° C.

The Toubkal National Park is located about fifty kilometers from Marrakech and about 70km from Ouarzazate. Since the Ourika valley you can also get there through Setti Fatma which is the northern boundary of the National Park.
